Am I the right therapist for you?

Read here to find out!

I operate from a Humanistic, person-centered approach that is personally existential in nature. I believe that the client is the expert on their own lives and therefore my focus is on the client’s wants/ needs/ goals since each client is unique and should be treated as such. I also incorporate an Existential viewpoint where I help my clients take into consideration and deal with certain concepts that are universal to all people regardless of gender, race, culture, socioeconomic status, etc. including: death, the meaning of life, responsibility, and freedom. My existential person-centered viewpoint is my main modality for grief and loss therapy and although this is considered my main approach, I can also offer a more integrative experience for a broader range of issues including therapy for trauma work, depression, anxiety, life transitions, etc. Other techniques and modalities I often incorporate into therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance & Committment Therapy (ACT) to name a few, in order to help clients reach their goals in a way that works best for each unique individual.

I am an ally to the LGBTQIA community as well as the BIPOC community and will continue to educate myself further on multicultural and diversity counseling in order to incorporate this into my work as a therapist in a productive, meaningful, and informed way.

***Rebecca sees clients in a limited capacity in person and will also continue to offer telehealth sessions indefinitely.***
